Wool rugs impress with their comfort, resistance and ease of maintenance. The wools used for carpets are stiff and resistant to crushing. Handmade tufted or woven wool rugs, as well as knotted, provide excellent color retention. They combine visual comfort, acoustic comfort by absorbing noise in the velvet, and living comfort by playing a role as a hygrometric regulator. The wool's scale fiber prevents dirt from becoming embedded and promotes cleaning. At a carpet cleaning specialist, it will be washed with a mild detergent using plenty of water.
