Maintain your carpet
The Toulemonde Bochart signature on a rug is a mark of quality. It requires simple but regular maintenance. Its resilient fibers do not retain pressure marks. It is naturally sound-absorbing, fire-resistant, temperature-regulating, and does not trap dust.
Initial shedding: During the first two months, the rug may shed excess wool in the form of fluff. Vacuum gently without rubbing. Do not use a hard brush.
Routine care: Rotate the rug twice a year. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and moonlight, as this may cause colors to fade. Proper and regular maintenance will extend the rug’s lifespan and preserve its original appearance.
For seagrass rugs, wipe once a month with a slightly damp mop to restore their natural sheen.
Deep cleaning: Every 6 to 12 months, depending on the level of foot traffic, the rug should undergo a thorough cleaning.
Dry shampoo: Apply a well-known powdered carpet shampoo by sprinkling it evenly over the rug. After allowing the product to penetrate, vacuum thoroughly.
Wet shampoo: Dilute the cleaning product as little as possible. Do not soak the rug. Using a reputable carpet cleaning machine, distribute the cleaning solution (optionally mixed with vinegar), focusing on heavily soiled areas. Allow the rug to dry without any foot traffic, then vacuum carefully.
